More About Flying Pig Co.

Why the Name - Flying Pig?

Yellowstone Family Activities

Meet the Flying Pig Staff & River Guides

It takes a true love of the outdoors and an interest in meeting new people to enjoy your life here at the Flying Pig Adventure Company. All of our river guides are experienced river runners with lifeguard and CPR certifications, as well as a rich sense of humor - albiet some more than others.

Geoff and Liza

Owners/Janitors/Guides/Bus Drivers

Geoff and Liza are a dynamic duo! They love to share their passion about Yellowstone with their guests, always encouraging visitors to get out of the car and really experience our nations wonderland. In addition to running the Flying Pig Adventure Co. They run an after school program called After School Adventure Camp. The program exposes local students to fun and educational outdoor activities.

The Duo also have a strong spirit of adventure. Their honeymoon was a bicycle tour down the Croatiatian Coast along the Adradiac Sea. Camping in a tent after spending a day on a bike and not getting to shower is not most peoples idea of a romantic getaway. The second part of their honeymoon was checking out Tunisia during Ramadan. Good planning on Geoff's Part!

Some of their other adventures have been; a 800 mile mountain bike trip crossing the Andes Mountains from Chile to Argentina on small dirt roads, and Sea Kayaking for 11 Days self-supported in a group of islands off the Tialand/Mylasian Border. They ate lots of rice, eggs, and nuts... Again Geoff's exceptional planning. They do love each other, working, playing, and growing as their relationship evolves. They look forward to meeting you!

Geoff Faerber

Owner

Geoff, as an Indiana Native, grew up eating a lot of corn and playing basketball. After graduating from Wabash College with a Business Economics and Art degree he landed in Yellowstone for a summer job.

As often happens with summer jobs here, he never left. However, before founding the Flying Pig, he successfully organized and took part in a kayak expedition from Gardiner to the Gulf of Mexico with 3 other guys (3200 miles). Along the way they raised $150,000 for Youth Charities! Geoff's dedication to his dreams creates success!

Liza Faerber

Owner

Born in Sun Valley Idaho, Liza essentially grew up outside skiing, hiking and skating. Our small town girl graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Wanting to experience a new culture and environment, she headed to Alaska's Arctic Circle.

After 3 wonderful years of teaching in Inuit Villages, she returned home to Montana with the intent of spending a year in volunteer work. That idea ended when she met Geoff her first week in Gardiner and he offered her a job at the Flying Pig.

Lauren Silano

General Manager

It's not everyday a girl from Long Island, New York realizes her dream to move to Montana, but Lauren made her dream a reality. After getting her B.A. in Psychology from Clark University in Massachusetts, she fell in love with a fuzzy raft guide and never looked back. As the Flying Pig Manager, Lauren is the backbone of the company, putting in long hours and lots of creative energy to make sure that our guests have the trip of their lifetime.

Lauren's passion for travel started at an early age with several trips to Europe before she even finished high school. You can often find her exploring the trails of Yellowstone, rafting some of the country's epic rivers with her fiancée Jon and dogs Lilly and Olive, trying to run one more mile than last time, and knitting to relax at the end of the day with her two cats (Mr. Samuel and Pelangi) pawing at the yarn.
