The northern rivers in the Park are on the drop and are starting to fish well. Steve, Trent, and I fished the Yellowstone below our rafting store last night and stuck a few fish. The river is still high, but fishing the soft spots along the edges can be productive. The Gardner River is fishing very well with big black stone flies. Fish two stones about six feet below the indicator, and dredge them through the slow, deep runs. This is also a great time of year to fish lakes! Cascade, Grebe, and Fawn Lakes are all in Yellowstone National Park and are tremendous places to fish right now. Trent landed this hog Brooke Trout out of Fawn Lake a few days ago.
