Knox_lunchYellowstone National Park is the place you visualize when daydreaming about being on a gently flowing river, surrounded by the majesty of soaring mountain peaks and broad meadows, making the perfect cast across the sun-dappled water. No other location in America offers quite the same combination of natural beauty and great fishing that you’ll find when fly fishing the legendary Yellowstone River and other rivers within the park. And Flying Pig Adventure Company is ready to take you there.

Steve has put together a team of guides who eat, sleep, and breathe fly fishing. Most importantly, he has chosen guides who are outgoing and want to share their passion for fly fishing and the waters of Yellowstone with our guests, regardless of whether they have fished their whole lives or just want to give fly fishing a try for the first time. The Flying Pig team has a desire to teach and in the end wants everyone to walk away with an appreciation and love for fly fishing that will last a lifetime.

DSC_6383We welcome new fly fishing enthusiasts and experienced anglers alike. Based out of our fully decked out Fly Shop, our guides and fly fishing trips are set up to accommodate any level. We love seeing the excitement and satisfaction on the face of a guest when the hook is set and they land their first rainbow or cutthroat…or even their hundredth!

Looking for a Yellowstone River Float Trip? We can take you there, too. Just outside Yellowstone Park, the upper stretches of the Yellowstone River are lightly fished but hold large numbers of native cutthroats, rainbow and brown trout. Our private access to the river allows our guides to put you where the fish are without fighting the crowds.

The Flying Pig is always working on developing new adventures for our guests. We are so proud of our most recent addition, the Overnight Fly Fishing Adventure on the Yellowstone River. This amazing adventure packs two full days of spectacular fly fishing on the Yellowstone River with an overnight stay right on the river in our comfortable wall tents or cabin. We will handle all of the details so you can sit back and enjoy the one-of-a-kind fishing and scenery that can only be found on the upper Yellowstone River. We also have some other Yellowstone Park lodging options.

You can’t call yourself a complete angler until you’ve fished Yellowstone, one of North America’s premier fly fishing destinations. Let Flying Pig Adventure Company be your guide and companion on your amazing Yellowstone fly fishing experience.

Anglers should be sure to stop in to our Flying Pig Camp Store and Fly Shop at 204 Park Street in Gardiner. Our Fly Shop is fully stocked and offers all of the hottest flies. Rods and Wader rentals, too!
